He told in a statement that terrorists blew up successively two cars packed with huge amounts of explosives early this morning near the entrance of al-Arman neighborhood in the main al-Siteen Street in Homs city.
Initial information referred to the death of 14 people, in addition to 39 injured. Many of the latter have succumbed to their wounds.
"The repeated terrorist attacks in Homs target the strong internal front that is standing by the side of the Syrian army making victories on various fronts," said the Governor, calling upon the Security Council, the UN Secretary General and the countries that claim to be fighting terrorism to condemn this new attack.
SANA reporter in Homs said the terrorist bombings caused massive material damage to the nearby houses and the dozens of public and private buses parked at the bus station.
On January 26th, 19 people were killed and many others were injured in two terrorist attacks that hit al-Zahraa neighborhood in Homs city.
The People's Assembly expressed condemnation of the twin attack, holding Saudi Arabia and Turkey that are supporting the terrorist organizations morally and legally responsible for this and other frequent terrorist attacks.
The fact that these terrorist attacks coincide with the talk about a cessation of hostilities in Syria, proposed recently in Munich meeting, stresses the futility of this proposal, the Assembly said in a statement.
It went on saying that the only values and rules the terrorists and their backers uphold are those of shedding blood and cutting off bodies, "therefore the only way to deal with those is through the battlefield, where the Syrian Arab army and the forces supporting them are making remarkable successes."
It is because Homs is becoming almost free of terrorists and has achieved several reconciliations, the enemies are freaking out and have given orders to the terrorists to sabotage the reconciliation atmosphere, the statement added.
